Who we are
Teal & Twine, trading name of Lauren Brabbs Office 20650, 182-184 High Street North, East Ham, London, E6 2JA Email: teal.and.twine1@gmail.com
Our Products
We sell:
Physical goods — including embroidery kits, hand-embroidered clothing, laser-cut wooden items (e.g. needle minders)
Digital products — downloadable embroidery patterns
Workshops — in-person or online craft sessions with a fixed date/time
Product descriptions, images, and prices are as accurate as we can make them, but slight variations (especially in hand-embroidered and hand-finished items as well as colours due to monitor settings) are normal and part of the handmade nature of the product, not a fault.
Prices and payment
All prices are listed in GBP. Payment is taken at checkout via Squarespace Payments. We do not store your card details.
Delivery
We aim to dispatch physical orders within 5 working days of purchase, or as stated on the specific product page for made-to-order items
Delivery costs and estimated timeframes are shown at checkout
Risk in goods passes to you once they're delivered to the address you provided
If your order is lost or arrives damaged, contact us at teal.and.twine1@gmail.com and we'll sort a replacement or refund
Your right to cancel (physical, non-personalised goods)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, for standard (non-personalised) physical goods, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. To cancel, email us at teal.and.twine1@gmail.com. You then have a further 14 days to return the item.
The item should be returned in its original, unused condition where possible
You are responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty
We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the returned item, using your original payment method
Personalised and made-to-order items
Custom or personalised items (e.g. made-to-order needle minders, bespoke embroidery, personalised kits) are exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation right, as permitted under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, because they are made specifically for you. We'll always make this clear on the relevant product page before you buy. This does not affect your rights if the item arrives faulty or not as described.
Digital products (patterns)
Digital downloads are exempt from the standard cancellation right once you begin downloading the file, but only because you'll be asked to confirm this at checkout before completing your purchase. Before you download, you have the right to cancel; once downloaded, the sale is final unless the file is faulty or doesn't match its description.
If you have a technical issue accessing or downloading a pattern, contact us and we'll help resolve it.
Workshops
Workshop places are confirmed on payment
Cancellations by you: full refund if cancelled more than 7 days before the workshop; 50% refund within 7 days; no refund within 48 hours. If I am able to fill your place on the workshop then I may be able to refund the full cost or transfer your booking to an alternative date, however this is not something that I am able to guarantee. You are able to transfer your place if you are unable to make a booked workshop - please email teal.and.twine1@gmail.com to transfer your place.
Cancellations by us: if we need to cancel or reschedule a workshop (e.g. low numbers, illness), you'll be offered a full refund or an alternative date
Faulty or misdescribed items
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by anything in these terms. If an item is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose:
Within 30 days: you're entitled to a full refund
After 30 days (up to 6 months): you're entitled to a repair or replacement in the first instance
Contact us at teal.and.twine1@gmail.com with your order number and a description (and photo, where possible) of the issue.
